Kartik becomes youngest Indian to win junior world title

Budding golfer Kartik Singh has acquired the top position in the under-8 category at the Kids' Golf World Championship organised by US kids Golf in Malaysia.
Kartik, a member of the junior programme at the DLF Golf Academy has thus become the youngest Indian to win a junior world title.
Kartik, who hones his skills at the DLF Golf and Country Club under the guidance of Raju James Joseph, was first spotted by golf coaches in Kochi three years ago when he accompanied his father on one of his weekend golf games.
After reaffirmation of his abilities from coaches at Bengaluru, the child's family decided to relocate to Gurugram which has world class golf infrastructure.
Speaking on Kartik's feat, Karan Bindra, Director of Instruction, DLF Golf Academy said: "It is indeed heartening to see Kartik do well and we are extremely proud of his achievement. We wish him continued success."
