Kerala Blasters football club coach David James quit on Tuesday, T. Varun, chief executive of the club said and wished him all the best for his future.
James was appointed coach in January and the team's performance at the fourth edition of the Indian Super League at the half way mark has been poor with just one victory in 12 outings.
The first half of the present edition has come to a close and the second half would resume in February.
On Sunday, Kerala Blasters were thrashed 1-6 by Mumbai City, which nearly made it certain that James might exit. - IANS
