6 school children among 7 killed in MP accident

Seven persons including six children on Thursday died in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh when a passenger bus collided with a school van, police said. Six other children also received injuries in the incident.
"A private school van collided with a bus coming from the opposite direction near Birsinghpur village under Sabhapur police jurisdiction," police station Incharge Vijay Yadav told IANS.
Six children and the driver of van were killed and six other children were injured in the accident, he said, adding condition of two injured students is stated to be critical, Yadav said.
The injured children are being treated in the Satna District Hospital.
Satna Superintendent of Police Santosh Gaur told reporters that dozens of other people on board the van are in a state of panic.
The exact cause of accident will be known only after proper investigation, he added.-IANS
