Air Chief Marshal arrives in Eastern Air Command headquarters

Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa arrived in Meghalaya's capital Shillong on Wednesday to review the progress on various operational tasks of Eastern Air Command headquarters.
During his two-day visit, Dhanoa will chair the Commanders' Conference of Eastern Air Command and update the commanders on the security scenario with special reference to the implications for the eastern theatre, an IAF official told IANS.
The Air Chief Marshal is expected to share an insight into future infrastructure development plans under the command.
Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Air Command Air Marshal Raghunath Nambiar received Dhanoa at the Advanced Landing Ground helipad in upper Shillong.
Air Warriors of Headquarters Eastern Air Command presented Dhanoa with a ceremonial guard of honour.
The Air Chief Marshal is accompanied by Kamalpreet Dhanoa, President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association.
Headquartered in Shillong, the Eastern Air Command's area of responsibility covers 11 states.-IANS
