A 65-year-old doctor was found dead at his home here on Monday, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Aslam Khan said the victim, Mukim Ullah, was alone in the house when the crime took place. His daughter, a guest teacher, had left for school at 7.30 a.m.
An almirah at his house was found ransacked.
"There were no injury marks on the body. The door was open. It seems to be a friendly entry," the officer said, adding that the cause of death was yet to be ascertained.
