18-October-2018
The son of a former BSP MP who had threatened a man with a pistol at a luxury hotel here was arrested on Thursday soon after he surrendered in a city court.
A police official said Ashish Pandey, the son of former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Rakesh Pandey, was taken into police custody for a day.
Pandey surrendered before Metropolitan Magistrate Dharmendra Singh at the Patiala House Court earlier on Thursday, a day after the court issued a non-bailable warrant against him.
He had been absconding since the Sunday morning incident, with the police on his trail.
The warrant was issued after an FIR was lodged against Pandey for threatening another man and his woman friend with a pistol at Hyatt Regency hotel in south Delhi. -IANS
