CBI court in Uttar Pradesh convicts four in fake currency case

A CBI court here has held four persons guilty in a 2014 counterfeit currency seizure case and handed them 10-year rigorous imprisonment each, an official said on Tuesday.
The Special Court also ordered convicts Ibrahim and Amir Hussain of Rampur to pay fines of Rs 1.25 lakh each and Wahid of Rampur and Tikka alias Afzal of Babur Bona in West Bengal's Malda district to pay Rs 1 lakh each.
These persons were booked under Sections 120B, 489B and 489C of the Indian Penal Code after two of them were arrested at Moradabad railway station on February 28, 2014 and fake notes with a face value of Rs 2.37 lakh were seized from them. -IANS
