Kejriwal accuses Modi of favouring companies
04-December-2012
Aam Admi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal Tuesday accused Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi of giving undue favours to some corporate companies and said the impression of him being honest was wrong.
"Modi has gifted away 20 percent of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation's (GSPC) stake in the Krishna-Godavari Basin to two companies, Geo Global and Jubilant Enpro Private limited," Kejriwal alleged.
He said that both BJP and Congress were involved in the "loot".
Kejriwal claimed that the Gujarat government had allotted land to MPs and MLAs in prime areas of Gandhinagar at concessional rates to build houses. "Most of these MPs and MLAs have sold these plots at much higher rates," Kejriwal said.
He added that the Congress did not raise its voice as its own MPS and MLAs benefitted from the deals.
He accused Modi of allotting 14,306 acres to the Adani Group at throwaway prices in the Kutch region. - IANS
