29-September-2018
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday said their government is constructing India's biggest war memorial.
"We should forget our differences and stand together when any problem comes to our country. We should work to embolden the morale of our jawans," he said while participating in a Parakram Diwas programme here.
"Stories of the slain soldiers' bravery will be written in the war memorial which will have a replica of the Kargil War so that the youth can understand their duties towards the nation," Das said.
"Our government has hiked compensation amount to the kin of the soldiers who died while serving the country from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. We are also providing jobs and land to the kin of the slain soldiers," he added.- IANS
