A gang which flew from one city to another to commit burglaries and even stayed in five-star hotels has landed in Delhi Police net, an official said Thursday.
Gang leader Sohan Pal, 38, and associates Pawan, 26, Sabir Malik, 31, and Abhishek, 19, was arrested this week from Vasant Kunj in south Delhi where they had gone to strike, police said.
During interrogation, they revealed they would stay in five-star hotels and travel by air to reach cities to commit crime.
The burglars admitted to have been involved in break-ins and thefts in Delhi and neighbouring towns, Mumbai and Vapi in Gujarat since 2010.
Stolen gold and diamond jewellery worth lakhs of rupees were recovered from their hideout, police said.
"Their arrests has solved 10 cases of burglary and thefts in Delhi," said an officer.
