13-August-2018
Striker Raphael Dwamena on Monday said during his presentation as a new player of Levante that he is thrilled about his transfer, with a four year contract, to the La Liga side from Switzerland's FC Zurich.
Ghanaian centre-forward Dwamena said he chose to join the Frogs because playing in Levante would be a big step for him, reports Efe.
"La Liga is one of the best leagues in the world. I am very happy to be here (in Levante) because it gives me the opportunity to play against good players and big clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona," Dwamena said
"I am full of joy, one year ago... (I was told) I was not going to play soccer anymore and today I am here. I thank God and the club (Levante)," the 22-year-old said.
Dwamena revealed that before signing the contract he contacted his new teammate and compatriot Emmanuel Boateng, who praised the Frogs.
Dwamena stressed "it is a challenge" to play at Levante, where he hopes to do well, adding that he is "adapting little by little" to the club but its staff have also treated him well.- IANS
