The body of the son of Janata Dal-United (JD-U) MLA Bima Bharti was found on a railway track in the Bihar capital on Friday, police said. The legislator alleged it was a case of murder.
Deepak's body was recovered near the Nalanda Medical College and Hospital in Patna after locals spotted it and alerted the police, Deputy Inspector General of Police B.N. Jha said.
He said it was difficult to say whether it was a case of suicide, murder or accidental death.
"Only after post-mortem will the police be able to say anything on the cause of his death," he said.
Bima Bharti, a legislator from Rupauli Assembly seat in Purnea district, alleged that her son had been murdered.
"It is not suicide, it is murder. My son was killed," a weeping Bima Bharti told the media here. -IANS
