Anil Kumar Chawla takes charge as Southern Naval Commander

Vice Admiral Anil Kumar Chawla on Tuesday took over as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command (SNC) as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief.
Chawla was previously the Chief of Personnel at the Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Navy) at New Delhi.
He took over the charge from Vice Admiral A.R. Karve who retired after 38 years of service.
A native of Dehradun, Chawla is the 28th Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, a Defence release said.- IANS
