Resignation letter fake, BJP is nervous: Solanki
23-November-2017
Gujarat Congress chief Bharatsinh Solanki on Thursday blamed the BJP for the "fake resignation letter with his signature going around", adding the state's ruling party were "rattled" by the Congress' surging popularity.
"A fake resignation letter is going around on social media with my signature, claiming that I have resigned from the presidentship of Gujarat Congres.
"It is completely fake and I have issued no such letter. I am a loyal soldier of the party and will always remain so," said Solanki in a statement, adding that the BJP is "nervous and rattled by the surging popularity of Gujarat Congress".
"As people from all sections are coming together to root out its anti-people government, so out of sheer desperation, they are spreading such lies on social media to deflect from the real issues," he added.
Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi, on Thursday, replying to a question that on November 26 and 27, more than 50 union ministers will be campaigning in Gujarat, said: "Everyone has the right to campaign. But this also reflects that they are very nervous, rattled and frustrated." - IANS
