Car hits crowd near London museum, many injured

A car mounted the pavement and ploughed into pedestrians near the Natural History Museum in London on Saturday, the police said.
The Metropolitan Police said a "number" of people had been injured and one person was arrested following the incident on Exhibition Road in South Kensington, the BBC reported.
People on social media reported that several people were receiving medical treatment on the street outside the museum in west London.
The Metropolitan Police wrote on Twitter: "We are aware of an incident in Exhibition Road, #South Kensington. A number of people have been injured #Exhibition Road #South Kensington."
"A man has been detained by police."
Police closed the roads in the surrounding area. - IANS
