Kamal Nath meets Sonia, discusses 'Vachan Patra'
14-February-2020
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath met party's interim chief Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Friday in the wake of many leaders questioning the implementation of the party's manifesto in the state.
"I have met the party president and discussed how much the government in the state has been able to fulfil the Vachan Patra (manifesto)," Kamal Nath said.
Senior party leader Jyotiraditya Scindia has spoken about party's seriousness on fulfilling the promises made to the people of Madhya Pradesh. "If the Congress makes a promise, then it will fulfil it. Otherwise, we'll come on roads."
Nath denied that the meeting was called for a discussion on Rajya Sabha polls or state cabinet expansion.
A few state Congress leaders have of late demanded that the party stick to the promises made in the manifesto. State Minister Govind Singh recently said at a public function that lack of funds was the reason why some promises have not been fulfilled.\ - IANS
