Two killed in Kashmir avalanche

Two persons were killed on Tuesday when an avalanche hit Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district.
Police said the tragedy struck Trigam village around 3 p.m., burying two persons, Muhammad Rafiq, 25, and Sumerna, 12.
Two women, Fatha Begum and Taja Begum, who went missing, were rescued.
"These people were on their way home when the avalanche hit them," a police officer said.
The District Magistrate has sanctioned an ex gratia cash relief of Rs 4 lakh to the next of kin of the two who died. - IANS
