At a time when people make a big noise about Corporate Social responsibility, there are some individuals who are going about helping others without much ado. Anusha Ravi Mahesh, CEO, Park Institutions, Tamil Nadu is one such person.

After completing her UG from PSG Tech, Coimbatore, Anusha went to US to do her MS in Old Dominion University. After brief stints in Onair, a subsidiary of Airbus in Seattle, and Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis, she returned to India in August 2006 to help expand her family business of education institutes.

Green educationist: Anusha Ravi manages to find the time for her social activities in spite of her busy schedule

Under Anusha’s leadership, Park group added Park Global School of Business Excellence in Chennai and Coimbatore and Park Global School in Coimbatore.

Anusha is an active Rotarian, and is also the president elect for 2010-11 for the all women rotary club AAKRUTHI of Coimbatore. She is the trustee of “aravanaippu” which helps motherless or fatherless children with school and college fees through NRI funds.

Till date 1000 children have benefited. The goal is to have 25000 children benefit over the next 5-10 years. As Rotary president she donated life saving equipment for the pediatric wing of Government Hospital - where the mortality rate was 97 kids in just the last 3 months - and extended support to Shanthi ashram, an NGO that works with HIV children.

She is an avid supporter of environmental conservation. The engineering colleges of Park group were built on barren land but today they are full of greenery.

Being an entrepreneur Anusha understands the importance of money but at the same time she wishes to achieve her goals of environmental protection. With this goal in mind one of her colleges is offering an exclusive environmental degree.

Anusha was one of the distinguished speakers at TEDx Tirupur 2011. She spoke about her dream of achieving a green and happy Tirupur by awakening people about the ill effects of pollution and focusing on research to find out methods of reducing pollution.
