CBI arrests two company officials over bribe

The CBI on Wednesday arrested two officials of two different companies for giving and receiving bribe, the investigating agency said.
According to an official of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the chief manager of Madras Fertilisers Ltd., Gnanasambandam, was caught while receiving Rs.1 lakh as bribe from K.V. Reddy of High Tech Air Power Ltd.
Gnanasambandam had demanded the sum as bribe for issuing Guaranteed Test Run Certificate so that High Tech could claim bills towards reverse osmosis membranes supplied by it.
According to the CBI, both Gnanasambandam and Reddy were arrested.
Searches are being carried out at the residences of both the people, CBI said. - IANS
