Korean dancers to perform in Chandigarh
19-November-2018
Dance groups from South Korea will present traditional dances from both North and South Korea here on November 29.
The cultural evening is being organised by the South Korean Honorary Consul General Office, Chandigarh and Korean Cultural Center in India, the organisers said in a statement.
Due to the division of Korea and subsequent social changes, the traditional dance styles of both the countries saw transformation.
However, as a push for peace among both the countries (North and South Korea), the traditional dancers from South Korea will perform dances from both the countries, the organisers said.
Shin Bongkil, Ambassador of South Korea in India, will be present on the occasion along with dignitaries from both countries, the statement read.
It will take place at the Post Graduate Government College for Girls here.-IANS
